Las dos artistas nicas embellecieron con sus obras la sede de la misi\u00f3n diplom\u00e1tica a trav\u00e9s de sus pinturas, en las que ellas reflejan sus emociones por la patria, el exilio, la vida y la belleza de la naturaleza.<\/p>\n<p>Rosa Navarro Gonz\u00e1lez naci\u00f3 en Granada, Nicaragua, en 1936; a los 27 a\u00f1os de edad se traslad\u00f3 a New York donde estudi\u00f3 Arte y Dise\u00f1o; en 1999 se convirti\u00f3 en la primera nicarag\u00fcense en recibir la Medalla de la Libertad que otorga el Senado Republicano de Estados Unidos, en reconocimiento a su extensa obra art\u00edstica y en el 2000 fue honrada por el Instituto Cultural Rub\u00e9n Dar\u00edo en Washington D.C.<\/p>\n<p>Letty Tousignant naci\u00f3 en Yal\u00ed, Jinotega en 1982. Creci\u00f3 rodeada del paisaje nicarag\u00fcense que le inspira pintar cielos, monta\u00f1as, p\u00e1jaros y \u00e1rboles; empez\u00f3 a escribir poes\u00eda en su tierra natal, donde perteneci\u00f3 a la Asociaci\u00f3n de Poetas de Jinotega; en Costa Rica se integr\u00f3 a un grupo musical, donde fue la vocalista y all\u00ed descubri\u00f3 su pasi\u00f3n por la pintura, que pronto fue apreciada en exposiciones que realiz\u00f3 en hoteles y restaurantes. El grupo de la red social aglutina a unos 600 nicas residentes en New York y New Jersey. The two Nicaraguan artists embellished with their works the headquarters of the diplomatic mission through ther paintings, in which they reflect their emotions for the homeland, exile, life and beauty of nature.<\/p>\n<p>Rosa Navarro Gonz\u00e1lez was born in 1936 in Granada Nicaragua; at 27 she came to New York City to study at the School of Art and Design. In 1999 she became the first Nicaraguan woman to recieve the Medal of Freedom awarded by the Republican US Senate in recognition of her extensive artistic work, and in 2000 she was honored by the Ruben Dario Cultural Institute in Washington DC.<\/p>\n<p>Letty Tousignant was born in Yali, Jinotega in 1982. She grew up surrounded by the Nicaraguan landscape that inspires her to paint skies, mountains, birds and trees; She began writing poetry in her homeland, where she belonged to the Association of Poets of Jinotega; in Costa Rica she joined a band, where she was the vocalist and there she discovered her passion for painting, which was soon appreciated in exhibitions held in hotels and restaurants; in 2014 she settled with her family in New York.<a href=\"https:\/\/elcronistadigital.com\/?attachment_id=39080\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-39080\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-39080\" alt=\"Hunter 2\" src=\"https:\/\/elcronistadigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Hunter-2-300x164.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"164\" srcset=\"https:\/\/elcronistadigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Hunter-2-300x164.jpg 300w, https:\/\/elcronistadigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Hunter-2-342x187.jpg 342w, https:\/\/elcronistadigital.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/Hunter-2.jpg 816w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Attendees from New York, New Jersey and neighboring states, also enjoyed an exhibition of ancient coins from Nicaragua and The United States, some over 100 years old; they tasted snacks and drinks offered by the Consulate and they took the opportunity to apply for the consular identification card, useful to identify themselves to the US authorities.<\/p>\n<p>This cultural event was a great opportunity for networking, and served to promote activities such as a trip to Atlantic City on Sunday April 26, organized by Pro Nicaragua Foundation to support a school in Managua; an artistic presentation of Carlos Mejia Godoy and the band Cuneta Son Machin on May 24, organized by ExponicaNY; a meal that will prepare gentlemen to honor mothers on May 30; baseball and softball games; the creation of a folk group; two summer picnics and the climb to the newest and tallest skyscraper in the city, the Freedom Tower, to hoist the flag of Nicaragua and sing \u00abAy Nicaragua, Nicarag\u00fcita &#8230;<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition of paintings and ancient coins, was an event organized from Facebook by Nicas in NY and NJ United, in coordination with the General Consul of Nicaragua in New York, Mar\u00eda Deyanira T\u00e9llez Velasquez. The group brings together about 600 Nicaraguans living in New York and New Jersey.
